Leica Q 28mm Summilux f/1.7

SHOT OF THE DAY – TOKYO, JAPAN

You know you are in an awesome location for photography when you even just want to spend an hour or two photographing the trains! Chris and I traveled between Tokyo and Kyoto via bullet train, which was awesome in itself! But, when we got toe station, we suddenly realized we needed a bunch of time just at the station photographing the platforms, the train, the people, the conductor etc etc!

Thankfully, it was Chris and I together, because I know my wife and Chris’ would have lost their shit with how long we spent just taking train photos!

I shot this with my Leica Q (read the review HERE!), which has a 28mm lens that I love for street photography. I took a series of these window images of different people and the little world they had created in their seat. Older ladies, kids, school children in uniforms and of course, the businessman.

I really need to go back to Japan!
