SOFTWARE TIPS – LIGHTROOM FOLDER TAGGING
The latest version of Lightroom Classic CC has brought a very simple but highly useful feature which has been much requested over the years. That being of folder colour tagging. As you can see in the image below, there is now the ability to add a colour to a folder. I LOVE this feature as it enables me have a system that is easy to see if I have sorted a folder or not. Currently I use green colour for a folder that has been sorted, metadata applied and appropriate images uploaded to stock agencies. Eventually I will add other colours to further differentiate status. To use this feature, simply right click on the folder in the Library module.
The downside to this new feature is a sudden realisation of how few images you have sorted in your collection, which of course leads to the never ending thought of ‘I dont have enough time in my life’!
