SHOT OF THE DAY – LAKE CRACKENBACK, AUSTRALIA
Lake Crackenback is a family favourite holiday spot of ours in recent years. On our last trip I had the pleasure of shooting for the Novotel resort at this location. Basically the brief was quite extensive but needed to involve nice landscapes and people enjoying the activities available.
Im always on the lookout for cold clear mornings, and one of them did not disappoint. It was well under freezing point and I had the time to walk around the resort finding my favourite spot. This angle picked up the lake and famous apartment buildings around. Then just for a few seconds the sun rose above a nearby hill creating a magical sun flare that I normally avoid.
